Induction
For the past two weeks, I've been a part of a Graduate Induction Program sponsored by DKS. I've got to say, it had been a blast. The company invests so much on trainings and especially on us fresh graduates. I believe they want us to become a better employee of the company, if not, then they nurture us to help us progress in our careers. I think this is a really good opportunity for us employees to broaden our knowledge and increase our capabilities as individuals. The trainings would do a lot of good on us, not only on the things we already learned from school or experience from past work; but it enables us to specialize with regards with our workstreams.
I've learned so much from the past two weeks not about the company alone, but myself as well. I'm viewing myself in a entirely different perspective and I believe this would help me to become a better employee and a better person in front of other people. As I know myself better, I believe that I have understood also how and why people act in a certain way. And because of that, I think it is easier for me to interact now with individuals than I used to.
I've met a lot of good new people too because of that program. Friends that I could keep as they will help me, not for personal reasons only, but with my career. They are a constant reminder of where I am at the company and how I am progressing over my career. From them, I will begin a whole new network of colleagues whom I know will be going through the same professional journey with me.
The program is something worth-remembering and I'm pretty sure I'll carry on the things I've learned from it throughout my career life.
xxx,
Herah :)
